Choir Uniforms/Costumes

The Choir Uniforms/Costumes of tuxedos or dresses that students borrow are used for multiple performances per year.

The Choir Formal Wear Outfits have been purchased through donations made to NU Choir Boosters and fundraising efforts. Each year we wash, dry clean, tailor and alter a uniform for every single student in all choirs. This is a significant cost. Periodically, we have to purchase new outfits.  A tuxedo can cost over $300, and the dresses are nearly $90.

We ask families to donate $20 per student to help offset the significant cost of maintaining or replacing these. The funds are not supplied by the school, and completely raised with the work done by volunteers and parents just like you.

We also request that the formal wear is handled at home carefully, keeping all pieces together (tuxedo outfits have multiple pieces) and returned at the end of the year in complete, and good condition.  

At the students' last performance, they need to bring a change of personal clothes to change out of their outfit, place it in a paper bag with their name, and turn it in to parent volunteers signing the costume back in against a roster checklist.
